Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Design & Planning

· Contribute to Low-Level Design (LLD) activities related to Zscaler integration with Azure, Cisco SD-WAN, and distribution centres.

· Validate Zscaler prerequisites and dependencies across Azure tenancy, SD-WAN vHeadends, and on-prem DC environments.

· Support design of GRE/IPsec tunnels or cloud connector-based integrations between Azure SD-WAN infrastructure and Zscaler.

· Participate in customer requirements workshops covering SD-WAN, cloud security, and internet breakout design.

Implementation & Configuration

· Configure and validate Zscaler cloud connectivity for Azure-hosted SD-WAN vHeadends.

· Support integration between Zscaler, Cisco SD-WAN controllers, and routing policies for internet-bound traffic.

· Assist with policy alignment to ensure secure access to internet and cloud services post-migration.

· Support test environment builds and execute Zscaler-related implementation tasks during planned change windows.

Migration & Cutover Support

· Provide Zscaler engineering support during DC migration events

· Validate end-to-end connectivity post-migration, including:

o Internet access via Zscaler

o SD-WAN path selection

o Cloud and Woolworths network reachability

· Participate in structured weekend cutovers and next-business-day operational support following migrations.

Testing & Validation

· Execute and support technical and business verification tests related to Zscaler traffic flows.

· Troubleshoot routing, policy, or performance issues impacting Zscaler-integrated traffic.

· Review and contribute to test artefacts, validation outputs, and operational handover documentation.

Documentation & Handover

· Contribute to As-Built documentation covering Zscaler architecture and integrations.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

· Strong hands-on experience with Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and cloud-based security architectures.

· Experience integrating Zscaler with SD-WAN solutions, preferably Cisco SD-WAN.

· Solid understanding of Azure networking, virtual appliances, and cloud connectivity patterns.

· Experience with GRE/IPsec tunnels, routing, and internet breakout design.

· Strong troubleshooting skills across routing, security policies, and cloud connectivity.

Project & Operational Skills

· Experience supporting enterprise-scale migrations with change control and structured cutovers.

· Ability to work from LLDs, run sheets, and formal change documentation.

· Comfortable working in multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Azure, Zscaler).

· Strong communication skills to engage with network, cloud, and customer stakeholders.
